SWORD D07 ( DAMASCUS D 19 Blade meant for ” power ” within the Sword® seires )

Blacksmithing with Mizutani Scissors started in 1921. We were first a sword, and now a scissor manufacturing company.

We have always been the first to innovate a design. And our team at the factory continues day in and out, to research and develop these tools to our artist community preferences.

The D07 is built using Damascus as its building material. The handle is made with Cobalt Alloy Extramarise ( Mizutani’s golden standard building material ) to make room for cushion in your pocket, all while enjoying the cutting experience of the Dama CMC powdered metal series.

Design Note:

The shear blade is made entirely of Damascus Steel. Our Damascus (  also know as “ wootz metal ” ) is 32 fold layered iron and steel with charcoal forged in a temperature reduced environment called quenching. This process is what makes for the watermark patterning throughout this masterpiece.
